How the Official Information Act and the Privacy Act apply to the Remuneration Authority
In line with normal employment practice the Authority keeps confidential the details of its consideration of remuneration.
Privacy
The information privacy principles of the Privacy Act apply in handling personal information.
Official Information Act
The Authority is subject to the Official Information Act 1982, but in the context of the Remuneration Authority Act, s.9 which requires Authority members and staff to maintain the secrecy of all matters which come to their knowledge in the course of their duties.
